Shadi El Kreidi and Tariq Tayah, who were on board a helicopter that went missing on Thursday, were found dead along with the other passengers in a rugged wooded area in Italy.
These two Lebanese men left their families for a working visit to factories, and they died after the helicopter crashed due to bad weather that hit the place.
A video circulated on social media showing the last moments of Tariq Tayah, from inside the helicopter shortly before crashing.
Tareq Tayah is the husband of the Lebanese jewelry designer Hala Tayah, one of the Beirut Blast victims. Tareq and Hala have three children.
Their daughter Tamara posted his picture on social media with a heartbreaking message: “Papa I love you to bits. I really don’t know what I have done to deserve this. May your soul rest in peace, I love you so much.”
French President Emmanuel Macron sent a message to Tamara and said in a post on his Facebook page: “On September 1, 2020, I was in Beirut, I listened to many testimonies, but one affected me greatly. It is Tamara’s testimony that the explosion stole the most valuable thing she has, her mother.”
“In an accident in Italy, Tamara lost her father. I tell her that I share her pain and that my thoughts are with her in this terrible ordeal. More than ever, my heart is with her,” President Macron added.
The second victim, Shadi El Kreidi, worked for INDEVCO and was the coordinator of the Investments Committee in the Financial Committee of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM).
