Protest by Hezbollah and Amal turned violent as their partisans clashed with Lebanese Forces Party (LF) members on Thursday. 33 casualties from Amal and Hezbollah have been so far reported, 3 killed and 30 injured, security forces confirmed to 961 News.
No casualties were reported from the LF.
Witnesses claim that residents of Ain el-Remmaneh, an area known to have a strong presence of LF, were the ones who fired the first shots.
The LF party has not taken credit nor reported any injuries.
Amal and Hezbollah protesters took to the streets to demand the removal of Beirut Blast Investigative Judge Tarek Bitar and what they claim to be the politicization of the investigation.
