During a promising Lebanese touristic season, the number of Beirut airport passengers keeps increasing, surpassing last year’s numbers, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
July 2023 saw a total of 924,000 passengers traveling through the airport in Beirut: 504,026 people arriving and 419,398 people departing.
Those numbers marked a 12.15% increase from the same period last year.
There was a total of 6,544 flights, which is an 8.2 percent increase from last year.
Between the beginning of 2023 and the end of July, the airport witnessed a total of 4,109,962 passengers making their way through, in comparison to the 3,392,704 passengers recorded during the corresponding period in 2022.
