Lebanese athletes are now achieving great results in many sports events and trying to raise Lebanon’s flag high in many local, regional, and international competitions.
During the Lebanese Open Clubs Athletics Federation Cup 2022, young athletes showcased a great performance, and some even broke national records. Here are the details:
On the first day of the cup, held on Thursday, August 11, Mohamad Mourtada from Inter Lebanon Club set a new national record in the 400m Men, clocking 46.94s, and breaking the previous record of 47.36s, which was set by Noureddine Hadid.
Young Jawad Chamas from the Kalaa Club also set a new national record in the 400m U16, scoring 53.89s.
On the second day, Nabil Al Akoumi from the Lebanese Army set a record in the Javelin Throw Men, throwing 65.16m, whereas on the fourth day Marc-Anthony Ibrahim from Let’s Run 400mH scored 50.91s.
