The United States Rewards For Justice (RFJ) program announced that it will reward up to $7 million for information on the Lebanese-Colombian Hezbollah member Salman Raouf Salman, also known as Samuel Salman El Reda.
According to RFJ, Salman, 58, is a leader in Hezbollah‘s External Security Organization, the group’s branch that works on attacks outside of Lebanon.
The U.S. Treasury Department designated Salman on July 19th, 2019, as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist for directing and supporting Hezbollah activities in the West and for his involvement in plots around the world.
RFJ highlighted Salman’s involvement in an attack that killed 85 people and injured 300 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 27 years ago. CNN has reported it as being the worst terrorist attack in Argentina’s history.
The attack targeted the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) cultural center on July 18th, 1994, when Hezbollah detonated a car bomb outside the center. Salman is believed to have been the coordinator of the attack on the ground.
