60 Public Schools Across Lebanon Will Now Welcome Children With Disabilities

@UNICEFLebanon

UNICEF Lebanon is taking another step to provide a more inclusive public education system in Lebanon and help public schools open their doors to children with disabilities.

Partnering with Lebanon’s Education Ministry, the delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, and Humanity & Inclusion Middle East, UNICEF will work to support disabled children with more accessibility and retention in schools.

According to the UN organization, all children have the right to get a good quality of education and learning.

Adding that for the 2022-2023 academic year, 60 public schools across the country will welcome more than 2,500 children with disabilities in their classrooms.

The students with disabilities in all public schools will be also provided with their needs, as well as therapy, assistance, and tablets to give them a fair chance to develop their skills and thrive.
