Maroun Chedid

Since a very young age, the talented and well-known Lebanese Chef Maroun Chedid has grown a passion for cooking, reflecting on the Mediterranean landscape through food.

Maroun grew up in Saghbine, in the Bekaa valley, a village known for its fertility as seen with its orchards, vineyards, and farms.

Surrounded by nature, the Lebanese chef was inspired by the Mediterranean region, with its orange blossom flowers, green valleys, olive trees, and farm life, which provided him with great respect for natural resources.

All those natural “treasures”, as he described them, have played a vital role in his career as a renowned chef.

In 2013, he was awarded the prestigious title of “Chef de L’Année a L’International” by the Toques Blanches du Monde, making him the first Lebanese chef to be recognized for the role he plays in spreading Lebanese and Mediterranean gastronomy in the world.
