Lebanese actor Nicolas Mouawad announced that he will be starring in a Hollywood movie directed by renowned Australian director George Miller.
In an interview with the online news platform El-Shai during this week’s El-Gouna Film Festival in Egypt, Mouawad said that he will travel to Australia by the end of the current month to start shooting the movie.
“I feel very blessed to be able to take part [in] such a movie with a legend like George Miller. Actor(s) live and die without even getting close to an opportunity like this; I truly couldn’t be any happier,” the Lebanese star said.
The film shooting was supposed to take place earlier but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he noted.
The 41-year-old actor has starred in acclaimed series in Lebanon and the Arab World and won several awards at international film festivals for his performances.
Mouawad has recently revealed as well that he was starring alongside famed Turkish and Egyptian actors in an Egyptian thriller titled “Mako.” This will mark his first appearance in an Egyptian movie.
With that said, he has also had one previous experience in Hollywood in a movie called “His Only Son,” which was directed by American director David Helling.
George Miller, with whom Mouawad will be working soon, is the Oscar-winning director behind the massively popular “Mad Max” movie franchise.
