On Sunday, March 6, model and actress Adriana Lima visited the sites hit by the Beirut port explosion, which devastated the Lebanese capital city on August 4, 2020, killing over 234 people, injuring thousands, and rendering hundreds of thousands homeless.
The famous Brazilian model also visited damaged schools rehabilitated by UNESCO and Education Above All Foundation (EAAF), where she met with children and teachers who were victims of the explosion.
“Education is the right of every child for a brighter future. Today, I am with EAAF to witness the effect of the 2020 Beirut explosion that destroyed schools and threatened the ability of over 85,000 students to access education,” the Brazilian model said on Instagram.
She added that the EAAF has been helping students and rehabilitating schools while providing thousands of scholarships to Lebanese students as well as refugees.
The former Victoria’s Secret model is among tens of celebrities who have shown support for Lebanon after the devastating blast.
