The well-known Lebanese restaurant & café Ahwet Zeitouna continues to bloom and expand. It has just opened a new branch in Cairo, Egypt, after having launched in Kuwait, increasing its fans in the Middle East for its delicious Lebanese food.

Ahwet Zeitouna is more than a Lebanese restaurant offering authentic cuisine. It embraces its guests in Lebanon’s golden era of the 1970s with its refined Beiruti decor and ambiance, providing a unique dining experience.

Impressively beautiful architecture, excellent Lebanese hospitality, and refined cuisine fusing the traditional and the innovative are some of the main attractions of Ahwet Zeitouna.

A successful amalgam of elegance and casual, traditional and contemporary, classiness and comfort, the restaurant is a reflection of the Lebanese capital and culture.

Ahwet Zeitouna is not the only Lebanese restaurant conveying Lebanon’s culinary heritage and culture abroad.

While it isn’t rare for successful Lebanese restaurants and entertainment venues to open in various countries, the trend has remarkably increased in the past two years with many launching their operations abroad to keep their businesses striving amid the worsening economic crisis in Lebanon.

The distinguished Lebanese pastry and chocolate confectionery Noura opened in Baghdad, in January of this year. Tawlet opened in Paris the same month, conveying its amazing Lebanese heritage concept to the French capital.

The acclaimed Em Sharif restaurant launched a second branch in Egypt in February, after Kuwait, and Qatar, counting now over 12 branches in the Middle East. The Beiruti nightclub by Caprice, known for its wild and funky atmosphere, opened in Dubai also in February.
