On Tuesday, May 19th, Air France announced that it will be resuming operation to Lebanon on Friday, June 12th, following the provisional reopening of Beirut Rafic Hariri International airport on June 8th.

The airline will start flights twice per week to and from Beirut every Friday and Sunday.

The flights, operated with a Boeing 777, promise to implement severe sanitary measures in response to the coronavirus.

These measures include wearing masks, checking temperatures, physical distancing, and more. The airline has also stated that the air in the cabin is renewed every 3 minutes through the air recycling system.

Finally, Air France prices for one-way tickets start at $296 and $614 for round trip tickets, signaling a striking comparison to MEA ticket prices.
