The North Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport is getting a revamp worth $21 million, according to a source. This project aims to boost the food and beverage program and to provide an exciting and welcoming environment in the terminal.

This overhaul will bring 15 new dining options in the airport including Anita’s Kitchen Lebanese Café which is a restaurant based in Metro Detroit. Most of the new restaurants will be local to showcase the food culture of Detroit.
“Most of the North Terminal’s passengers are local residents or visitors to our area; they’re not connecting in Detroit to fly to other cities,” Greg Hatcher, director of Wayne County Airport Authority’s concessions, said in the release. “When they’re in our terminal, we believe passengers will enjoy seeing local brands they love and those that pique their interest.”
