Located in North Lebanon, Akkar is a fascinating Lebanese region.

Al-Ezer Forest (the Iron Oak Forest) is a particularly interesting place that draws people all year round and is the reason why you should definitely visit this northern region!

Deemed as one of the most beautiful forests in the world, environmentalists estimate that it is home to over 4,000 Iron Oaks, hence its name.

It is also home of some 100 varieties of wildflowers

And wild plants…

Even rose hip bushes, which are not common to find around… (rose hip tea, anyone?)

Located at an altitude of 1,600 meters, Al-Ezer Forest has been an ideal destination for amazing photoshots of the Milky Way.

A fascinating place to connect with nature during all seasons

It’s a winter wonderland!

During the fall, it is utterly romantic!

You can explore it by hiking different trails…

Many seek it for camping… whatever the season

And also for a picnic day!
