Lebanese Minister of Education and Higher Education, Abbas Al-Halabi, has announced the closure of schools, high schools, institutes, vocational schools, as well as public and private universities across Lebanon for tomorrow, Wednesday.
The decision comes in strong condemnation of the recent attack on a hospital in Palestine by Israeli forces, described as “a massacre beyond all expectations.”
Al-Halabi stated that this heinous act is “a stain on the face of humanity and the silent countries that stand by while people are annihilated, patients and civilians are killed, even on their sickbeds. May God have mercy on the martyrs, heal the wounded, and soothe the grieving.”
