Another Talented Lebanese is Representing Lebanon in The Voice France!

We’ve had several Lebanese talents competing in The Voice France throughout the years, like Jhonny Maalouf, Anthony Touma, Aline Lahoud, Hiba Tawaji, and Marc Hatem. This year, however, we are really killing it.

In 2020, The Voice France in its 9th season has two Lebanese singers on the show.

The first being Enzo Sabbagha, a Soul, traditional RnB, and Jazz singer. Enzo auditioned on Saturday 15 February, and he had the judges fighting over him.

Now, there’s another Lebanese mounting the French stage on Saturday 29 February: Matteo El Khodr. The best thing about this situation is that the two singers have completely different styles, so the world will be able to see and hear the Lebanese talent in different shapes and forms!

Matteo is known for his strong, amazing opera voice, although he is a man of many talents. You might recognize him as being one of the actors in the Lebanese movie Khabsa.

He is also owner and partner in the Nomades Home Art, a platform about travel stories collected by Lebanese people who are passionate about art and home decorations.

There’s more: Matteo also plays the piano, plus one has only to glimpse at the Countertenor opera singer to know that he is a fashion icon! And now, he’s gonna represent his country abroad.

Matteo shared the news in an Instagram post, saying:  “Here it is! I can finally tell you the good news! I will be participating in the 9th edition of The Voice France! Did the jury’s chairs turn? Watch me on TF1 this Saturday at 9:10 pm (Paris Time) / 10:10 pm (Beirut Time) to find out!”

We will indeed be in front of our TVs this Saturday to watch him amaze the four judges: Lara Fabian, Marc Lavoine, Amel Bent, and Pascal Obispo. Though we’re pretty sure the chairs will turn.

We hope that Matteo’s audition will go just as great as Enzo Sabbagha’s. Watch the latter down below:
