Today, Friday, BLOM BANK, Tariq Jdideh branch, was attacked by one of the depositors, who demanded the withdrawal of his deposit.
Lebanon Debate reported that the depositor entered the bank armed and demanded the withdrawal of his deposit, which amounts to 170,000 dollars.
According to NNA, the depositor is still inside the bank, as of the time of writing.
MP Ashraf Rifi came to the bank in order to negotiate with the depositor.
Following the raid, the Depositors’ Association tweeted that the banks had launched a three-day strike starting next Monday.
