After raiding a bank in Hamra, and another in Sodeco and Aley, a depositor at Byblos Bank called Muhammad Korkmaz, accompanied by another person, entered Byblos Bank in Ghazieh, South Lebanon, and poured gasoline on the employees, threatening to burn the branch in case he did not get his full deposit.

After a short period, he was able to obtain the amount of $19,200 which is part of his deposit, to surrender himself to the security forces.

The depositor is reportedly a taxi driver who was not armed, but rather had a “plastic gun” with him like in the case of Sally Hafez who raided Blom Bank earlier.
