2017 is a big year for Lebanon since it will host FIBA Asia Cup which is the biggest basketball tournament in Asia. FIBA, or the International Federation for Basketball, organizes international basketball competitions in all parts of the world. In its 29th edition, 16 teams will take part in FIBA Asia Cup. Lebanon will host this event at Nouhad Nawfal Stadium that has a seating capacity of 8,000. The tournament is going to start on August 8 and will end on August 20. In fact, this year will be the first time that Australia and New Zealand take part in an Asian tournament. The Lebanese team will compete for the first time tonight at 9:00 PM local time. It will play against the South Korean team.
