One of the largest independent student-led events in Lebanon and the region is back after skipping 2020 for reasons related to the pandemic and the country’s instability. Held annually since 1982, this event of the American University of Beirut (AUB) had been attracting over 23,000 attendees every year.
Being there over the decades, the event had become a unspokenly vital part of Beirut’s student scene and subculture. However, with the circumstances that took place last year, there was no choice but to cancel the 2020 event.
This year, AUB Outdoors is making a comeback for its 37th edition, bigger and stronger than ever, and for a cause!
Alongside keeping the event’s legacy alive, the goal this year will be to donate all profits made from the event to help struggling students continue their education.

For the first time, the AUB Outdoors, which had always relied on sponsorship funding, was prepared with almost a $0 budget, AUB Outdoors Vice Executive of Concert & Entertainment Maurice Haddad informed The961.
“After a year and a half of no shows and probably no income, I would like to highlight the fact that all the artists and names taking part [in] the show have provided their appearances FOR FREE, which is truly remarkable,” he told us.
The impressive lineup includes names like Adonis, Maya Diab, Rodge, Guy Manoukian, Pierre Chamassian, Tony Baroud, John Martin, Karl Wolf, Lara Bou Abdo, and so many more!

Taking the outdoors indoor, the event will be completely live-streamed, allowing locals as well as Lebanese around the globe to attend on June 19th.
People in Lebanon can buy tickets in Lebanese pounds at Antoine Ticketing, while people abroad will be able to purchase the tickets via Aratok.
