Born and raised in Beirut, Maya Hamieh graduated from I.C. and then from AUB with a Bachelor's degree before acquiring her Master's degree in Manchester (UK). She worked in Dubai in the media industry, having Nestlé as a client, until she took the decision to return home in 2017 with the hope of making a difference in her own country. She switched careers for that matter and became a grade 6 Math Teacher to influence the future generation of Lebanon. With the same personal mission, she launched her blog "Coffee O'Clock" to make an impact by keeping it real and making people of her community feel that they are not alone. A rising Social Media influencer, Maya believes that social media promotes a false reality that leads to unrealistic expectations and low self-esteem, and she seeks to fight that through her I.G. page.
