Representative of Fuel Distributors, Fadi Abu Chakra, denied allegations of gas stations selling Benzene in fresh dollars.
He assured that the stations set their prices in accordance with the Sayrafa platform and charge in Lebanese Pounds. However, diesel is paid for in dollars.
Abu Chakra explained that Benzene is available to oil-importing companies in Lebanon.
However, these companies have been withholding their distribution because of fears of losses due to the instability in the USD exchange rates.
