We all have clothes we don't need. So, why not donate your old pants or tight shirts to people who really need them? Less than 5% of clothing items in Lebanon are being collected and redistributed. Unfortunately, more than 2.5 million people are in desperate need. FabricAID is a Lebanese initiative that took the matter into its own hands! The team collects unwanted clothes, cleans and sorts them, and finally distributes them to second-hand shops. That way, people can buy outfits at prices that range from $0.5 to $2 only! Items that are deemed inappropriate are up-cycled. The initiative establishes pop-up shops and second-hand shops weekly in all areas of Lebanon where there are marginalized communities.
If you want to help, all you have to do is drop your clothes in the closest bin to you!
