Lebanese Ayah Bdeir’s startup creates an award-winning toy!

The Lebanese Ayah Bdeir is the founder and CEO of littleBits. She was included on the “

World’s 10 Most Powerful Arab Women

” by Forbes Middle East last year. Her startup creates fun technology kits such as color-coded electronic building blocks. The products are designed for children to boost their creativity and to foster their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) skills. littleBits’ latest invention was a hit this holiday season! The startup’s Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit enables kids to custom their droids thanks to multiple controllers, authentic sounds, and craft materials! The droid can do anything, and the creator is able to control it by using an app. The possibilities are endless! Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit was in short supply during December due to the high demand. The toy was included on TTPM’s “Most Wanted Toys Holiday 2017” list, and it also won top awards from Heather’s Pick, Toy Insider, and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. It was also one of the best sellers in Walmart and on Amazon. This toy challenges the kids’ creativity and allows them to use their cognitive skills to solve problems and invent. littleBits believes that playful techniques are valid educational methods.
