What We Know Of The Baakline Shooting Victims So Far

The barbaric shooting that took place on Tuesday left at least 9 people dead, as of the time of writing. While security forces conduct a manhunt to find and arrest the perpetrator(s), new information about the victims is being uncovered.

The 9 victims that have been recorded so far are 4 Lebanese and 5 Syrian nationals, two of whom are children. The horrific massacre took place in 5 different areas in Baakline.

4 people were killed at the same time in one of these locations, which was an under-construction house at a dead-end road near the Baakleen river. The victims who were shot there were a Syrian couple with their two children.

Upon hearing the gunshots, a 27-year-old local who was identified as Karim H. rode his motorbike to their source, only to be shot dead by the killer(s) when he arrived.

Another 2 Lebanese nationals were murdered near the river, around a kilometer away from the first shooting site.

These victims, who were identified as Mohammad A. and Mahmoud A., from the same family, from the northern town of Arsal, were reportedly cultivating a grove in the area where they were killed with a shotgun.

Later, a Syrian worker was reportedly shot at farmland distant from the rest of the shooting sites.

The last of the victims, as of the time of writing, is a Lebanese woman who was found slain in her house, and whose husband and children have gone missing, according to MTV.
