For the third year in a row, the University of Balamand (UOB) succeeded in maintaining its status in the QS 2023 World University Rankings (WUR).

Among the 8 ranked Lebanese universities, UOB held its 2nd place in Lebanon once again, with the American University of Beirut (AUB) ranking 1st again, followed by the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) ranking 3rd.

The ranking of UOB is based on the university’s academic status and educational level despite being the “youngest” among the 8 most established Lebanese Universities.

According to UOB’s statement, the university ranked first in Lebanon in the “Faculty-Student Ratio”, and among the top 100 universities worldwide, due to it providing a high quality of education while also focusing on a unique student experience.

Dr. Elias Warrak, UOB President, expressed in the statement that the results highlight the university’s dedication to keeping its global recognition during the country’s crisis while extending his appreciation for everyone who was committed to the University of Balamand.

The statement added that these results are “a solid testament” to UOB’s commitment “towards fulfilling its academic mission” and providing a superior quality of education for Lebanon’s youth.
