As the overall conditions in Lebanon continue to deteriorate under an unprecedented economic crisis, crime has been on the rise across the country.

According to a recent study, thefts increased by more than 160% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.

In the past week alone (June 21-27), the Internal Security Forces arrested 389 people across Lebanon for various crimes.
