Batroun Celebrated Its Third Annual Spring Flower Festival

Under the warm sunshine and among the colorful brightly blooms, Batroun Traders Association with the cooperation of Batroun municipality opened the Batroun Spring Flower festival for the third consecutive year.

The Spring Flower Festival was held for three full days at the public garden of  Batroun roundabout.

Many personalities joined the crowds who came from across the country to feed their eyes in the beauty of the spring flowers and enjoy the festivities with their families and friends.

The Festival comprised a large market of flowers and plants and some 40 kiosks of different cuisines, and display of artisans and handicrafts.

A variety of activities for adults and children alike babbled the festivities with happy energy. 

From free animation, digital games, and inflatable diversions for children to daily live performances on an open stage, the crowd got to enjoy acrobat shows, magic shows, character dancing shows, stilts walkers, marching parades, mime, jugglers, fire show, and plenty more.

Commenting on the festival, head of Batroun Traders Association Rock Attieh told The National News Agency (NNA):

“This festival is considered for all categories and ages. And this year the exhibition areas were expanded especially for craftsmen and handicrafts, and a large flower was drawn on an area of 500 square meters.”

In regards to the entrance fees, Mr. Attieh explained that the costs of putting up the festival this year increased from the two previous years, which brought them “to put a symbolic entrance fee for groups above 12-years old.”

Mr. Rock concluded by thanking everyone who helped to make this festival a success, and he praised the Batroun Municipality police and security forces that contributed to the safety of citizens.

Batroun Spring Flower Festival brought together families, couples, kids, and friends in an amazing atmosphere that showed the beauty of spring in Batroun. The attendees had the chance to play some great games, enjoy delicious food, and get introduced to the products of Batroun.

Batroun is a beautiful ancient coastal city, deemed one of the oldest still-inhabited in the world, and a treasure trove of Byzantine, Phoenician, and Roman history.
