. This increase is due to the thousands of tourists that came to Lebanon to spend their summer vacations. In July, Beirut – Rafic Hariri International Airport 

broke its own record

. 975,000 people traveled to and from Beirut Airport! However, this number kept growing. The airport has seen an increase of 17% in the number of passengers in August 2017 compared to the same month last year. The number has reached to

1,067,471 passengers

. This growth is likely to last in September and October according to the forecast of Colliers International. The latter is a real estate services company that also studies markets in all over the world. According to its forecast of the MENA region, Beirut and Aqaba, a city in Jordan, are the leading touristic cities from August until October 2017.
