Beirut nightclub “Discotek” was shut down over explicit show

A video that was taken on Friday night at Discotek, a nightclub in Beirut, shows Cirque Le Soir dancers performing explicit moves. The Minister of Interior and Municipalities Nohad Machnouk

ordered

the Internal Security Forces (ISF) to shut down the nightclub and seal it with red tape. The ISF

announced

that it investigated the incident with the owner of Discotek. The nightclub posted an apology on Facebook which states that the management teams of the club and Cirque Le Soir were not aware of the performers’ actions. Cirque Le Soir is a circus-themed nightclub based in London which is currently on a world tour.
