Beirut Ranked 4th Best City in the World by YouTuber With 1.5 Million Subs

Drew Binsky

YouTuber Drew Binsky is traveling the world. Not figuratively, but literally. To date, he has visited 700 cities of 191 countries. He’s done the kind courtesy of documenting his travels for his 1.5M subscribers.

His goal is to travel the world and inspire others to do the same “while shattering stereotypes that the world is unsafe,” Binsky wrote on YouTube.

According to travel advisory guides of some countries, such as the USA, Lebanon is at “Level 3: Reconsider Travel.” It means Lebanon is a high-risk destination.

In his video, Binsky proved otherwise to his 1.5 million subscribers, ranking Beirut on the list of his top ten favorite cities before Berlin in Germany, and right after Hanoi in Vietnam.

He has been to Lebanon three times already and loves it. “It feels more like a European city than a Middle Eastern city,” he noted.

“You have stunning Mediterranean views, you have snow-capped mountains, you have all greenery. There’s no desert in Lebanon,” he added since many people who have never been to Lebanon assume it has a desert.

“In the city, you just have the warmest and friendliest people,” he said, adding that he loves the cuisine.

“It’s funny to me when people think that Beirut or Lebanon is unsafe, because it’s actually one of the safest places I’ve ever been in the world.”
