Public Transport Tariff In Beirut Increased To Fifty Thousand LBP

The head of the Syndicate of Drivers and Transport Workers in Lebanon, Marwan Fayyad, announced that “the tariff within Beirut is 50,000 Lebanese pounds per service.”

Fayyad said in an interview with “Voice of Lebanon” that there is no solution to the crisis in this sector except through the government putting a plan for the transport sector on the cabinet’s table, especially since it lifted fuel subsidies without this plan.

He added, “We must work to give support to drivers, a material allowance for vehicle maintenance and spare parts, and a financing card.”
