If you’re a business or individual who thinks that you have an idea on how to fight the Coronavirus then Berytech is willing to help fund your project with up to $10,000.

Berytech, through its Fab Lab project, had recently announced that they are willing to support up to 5 projects. They can be test kits, mobile apps, or respiratory devices.

Berytech is even offering its own lab equipment, which includes a digital fabrication laboratory, to those who have a feasible idea but need a prototype.

Wael Khalil, Berytech Fab Lab coordinator and lead on the Berytech’s HealthTech Solutions Initiative in Lebanon, is hopeful that the Middle East and North African region will be able to produce viable solutions in order to combat the Coronavirus “very quickly.”

“Some are already starting to do that,” he said, adding that “many local companies have already started producing safety and protective products that could help against the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He explained that in addition to that, “there are initiatives in the Arab Region where many are already teaming up; sharing valuable information, designing, prototyping, and testing equipment, machinery, and applications that could assist in combatting COVID-19.”

Berytech has long been a company that provides support to startups with its many initiatives to improve the technology sector in Lebanon. There are many hidden talents in Lebanon that can most likely benefit from this opportunity.

As Khalil would put it: “Berytech has been shaping the tech and innovation scene in the region, using Lebanon as our launchpad for close to two decades.”

“We have extensive experience in mobilizing the right talent by offering the right ecosystem for innovative entrepreneurs to create and develop their own startups and SMEs,” he stressed.

He elaborated that this could be done through “research, incubation, business support, networking, mentoring, funding, access to markets, company hosting, and acceleration.”
