US President Joe Biden has issued a stern warning to Hezbollah, cautioning the group against becoming involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
During an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Biden expressed confidence in the U.S. military’s ability to assist in both the Israel-Hamas war and the conflict in Ukraine. He described the United States as “the most powerful country in history.”
Biden was explicit in his message to Hezbollah: “Do not do it. Do not cross the border and do not enter this war.”
He also shared his views on the situation in Gaza, stating that Israel’s reoccupation would be a “big mistake.” However, he emphasized that eliminating Hamas was a “necessary requirement.”
On the humanitarian front, Biden acknowledged the plight of over 2 million people in Gaza, half of whom are children.
He revealed that the U.S. is in talks with Egypt to evacuate women and children from the besieged area, although he admitted the task is challenging.
