After enduring a rollercoaster of economic crisis, widespread protests, and the devastating explosion of August 2020, Downtown Beirut is now back in action, gearing up for a vibrant revival, with 144 confirmed brands so far opening in Beirut Souks by November.
By fall, occupancy rate will reach 85% with 10-15% held to attract more international brands currently reluctant to enter the Lebanese market.
We spoke with Beirut Souks who shared the exclusive details with us. Beirut Souks’ GM, Adib Al Nakib, told 961 that the “faster-than-anticipated pace of the revamp” of the space is attributed to the “enduring trust and connection everyone has for the heart of the country.” He went to say that they are pleased to be “on the path to a positive future that extends a warm welcome to local customers and visitors from around the world” as they look forward to its official launch in Q4 of this year.
Here’s an exclusive peek at 75 of the hottest shops you’ll see as Beirut Souks reopens, bringing new life to the heart of the city.
