Brazil Just Donated Solar-Powered Water Purifiers To Lebanon

The Brazilian Ambassador to Lebanon, Tarcísio Costa, participated in a ceremony where 38 water purifiers were donated to Lebanon as part of Brazil’s efforts to assist with the ongoing cholera outbreak.

The donation, made by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, also included solar panels, batteries, and replacement parts for the equipment.

The water purifiers, which use solar power and can purify 200,000 liters of water daily while removing up to 100% of viruses and bacteria, will be distributed to public schools and hospitals in the areas most affected by the outbreak.

In addition to this donation, Brazil has been actively cooperating with Lebanon in various initiatives, including donating 4 million kilograms of processed rice in February 2022.

Brazil remains committed to working with the Lebanese government to improve the well-being and prosperity of both countries, given their deep historical and human ties.
