[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBHeiMNZ62c] Beirut Cyclehack, The Chain Effect and CyclingCircle, three entities that promote urban cycling in Lebanon, are organizing a campaign to promote cycling in Beirut on May 17, 2017. The Bike to work or university campaign is an international event that has the aim of encouraging people to commute to their workplace or university by bicycle. Since there are many heavily congested urban areas in Lebanon, there is a great benefit if more people start cycling instead of using other means of transportation. The campaign in 2017 will encourage people to experience cycling to work. Don’t worry if you do not have a bike! Just rent a bike for free from any of the participating bike shops for the purpose of the event starting May 16th at 5PM. There are 8 participating bike shops across Lebanon:
