Two people died in a tragic accident on Thursday, after a fire broke out in their Mercedes on the Chekka-Tripoli highway.
The car reportedly went into flames after it crashed into the beam of a bridge on the eastern side of the highway.
No further detail into the cause of the initial crash nor the people inside the car is available at this time.
According to NNA, the horrific accident led to heavy traffic on the northern highway. Security personnel arrived at the scene to inspect the car and determined that two people, who had yet to be identified at the time of the report, were dead.
