Depositors And Unions In Lebanon Are Protesting Against Lopsided Capital Control Law Draft

Arabian Business

Individual and union protesters have taken the streets and areas surrounding the Parliament in Beirut to protest yet another unjust and discriminatory Capital Control law drafted by the Lebanese authorities.

As early as 8 in the morning, multiple civil societies and independent crowds assembled in front of the Lebanese Parliament whistleblowing and warning about the latest version of the Capital Control law draft.

Security forces have contained the peaceful protest which raised signs denouncing the unfair law as slanted in favor of Banque du Liban and private bankers.
