Lebanese expats residing in non-Arab states will vote in the parliamentary election tomorrow!

The Lebanese parliamentary election in the Diaspora kicked off yesterday! Expats from six countries in the MENA region were able to vote; these countries are Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The process was smooth, but some of the voters complained that they couldn't find their names on the voters' list. These are the percentage of the registered voters who voted yesterday:

  • Kuwait: 69.1%
  • Saudi Arabia: 62.4%
  • Qatar: 76.5%
  • Oman: 74.6%
  • Egypt: 51%
  • United Arab Emirates: 62.1%

Tomorrow, Lebanese expats that are residing in the following countries will vote: Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Benin, Brazil, Britain, Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, Denmark, France, Gabon, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guinea, Italy, Liberia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Paraguay, Romania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States, and Venezuela. The number of registered voters is 70,355. The voting process will take place at the nearest Lebanese consulate or embassy from 7 AM till 10 PM. Each voter will receive a ballot and an envelope. After the election, the envelopes will be sealed, placed in a diplomatic bag, and sent to Lebanon. This year’s parliamentary election is our only chance to put Lebanon on the right track. Vote for the candidate who deserves and is qualified to represent you!
