The Lebanese diaspora has made great efforts around the world to support their people and their country. Lebanese-Canadians are no different. Throughout this revolution, they have shown huge support to Lebanon. Many protests were seen in Canada since the beginning of the Lebanese Revolution.
Taking into consideration the increasing needs of their fellow Lebanese protesting in the streets of Lebanon, the Lebanese community in Canada has decided to take their support to the next level.
They have come up with a new plan to help the revolution closely and have set up fundraiser events, the first-ever is set to take place in Mississauga, Toronto, under the theme “The Power of One."
The event, which will take place on Saturday, November 30, includes not only dinner and open bar but also informative presentations and special guest performances by Karl Wolf, who has been an outspoken and active supporter of the Revolution, as well DJ Mike Mass and Dabke Inc.
This special night, which will take place at the National Baquet Hall, from 7 pm to 1:30 am, is dedicated to supporting a strong united Lebanon, and the proceeds will be split between The961 Foundation to support its mission for Lebanon and RefugeAid (to support with medical supplies in Lebanon).
The961 Foundation is a legally registered NGO in Canada created to support the Lebanese people and communities, help raise funds, and work on the ground in Lebanon.
