DNA Tests Confirm That The Bodies Belong To The Kidnapped Lebanese Soldiers

The military operation that was launched by the Lebanese Army against ISIS called “Fajr El Jururd” ended with the 

victory of Lebanon

. In fact, the aim of the operation was to free the northern part of Lebanon from ISIS and to free the Lebanese soldiers who got kidnapped by ISIS in 2014. Unfortunately, the Lebanese Army has found 8 dead bodies in Wadi Al Debb. In fact, DNA tests got conducted in the Military Hospital to reveal the identities.

Results of the DNA tests

Today, General Joseph Aoun announced the results of the DNA tests to the families of the kidnapped soldiers in a private meeting in the Ministry of National Defense. The State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Sakr Sakr and the doctor who was supervising the tests in the Military Hospital were also present. General Joseph Aoun confirmed that the bodies that were found belong to the kidnapped soldiers. In fact, the funeral will take place this Friday at the Ministry of National Defense in Yarze.
