Horrifying: 40 dogs found poisoned in Tripoli

I don’t know what’s more disturbing: the fact that 40 dogs were found dead in Tripoli Sunday morning or that some people have absolutely no respect towards animals. Today morning, animal organizations in Lebanon announced that dozens of dogs were found poisoned. The criminals have not been identified yet. The rest of the dogs are fighting for their lives. The NGOs Animals Lebanon and BETA have notified the Ministry of Agriculture and their teams are heading to the site right now. They are also filing a complaint and taking legal action.

The latest major animal abuse incident in Lebanon took place last May. Images of men

spray painting animals

in blue in Saida to show support to a political party went viral on social media. The camel was clearly being abused. Lebanon is trying to become more animal-friendly. Last year, President Michel Aoun signed the

animal protection and welfare law

. Thanks to this law, a lot of abused animals were saved including a

helpless horse

that was being beaten in Tripoli. The

abuser was arrested.

How many times did you come across a video of a person kicking a cat or hitting a dog while their friends were laughing instead of stopping them? I bet many times.
