On Monday, the Bacterial Diseases Specialist Professor, Dr. Roy Nasnas, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Having had a brilliant career in the medical profession from a young age, Dr. Nasnas became one of the well-known and most-awaited doctors during the covid-19 pandemic.
For the past two years, the professor had hopped from TV station to TV station to instruct and guide the Lebanese people through the pandemic and help them cope with it.
He also tried his best to give everyone the right guidance and the necessary precautions to ease the transfer of the deadly disease.
A graduate of the Internal Medicine and Ethnic Diseases, Dr. Nasnas did not hesitate to share his expertise of more than 35 years with his patients, aiding them to heal, and giving them all the support they needed.
The Department of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui-UMC, of which Dr. Nasnas was its head, is mourning him.
“His disappearance is a loss as much for the hospital as for the entire Lebanese medical community, but also a loss for his patients who have benefited so much from his care […]
A great man is gone. Peace to his soul,” issued the hospital.
People in Lebanon are sharing their grief for the loss of the highly-esteemed and loved doctor, who had fought the pandemic next to his patients for two difficult years.
