Electricity Expected Back In North Lebanon After Days Of Total Darkness

Al-Mayadeen

Akkar and other regions in North Lebanon have been in total darkness for four days now without electricity, which is expected to be restored now with fuel supplies just arriving.

A ship carrying diesel has arrived at the Deir Ammar thermal plant after it finished unloading its cargo at the Al-Zahrani plant, sources told Al-Jadeed.

It is expected that the connection process will start from the Deir Ammar plant to the electrical network this evening. Accordingly, the electricity will return to the North and Akkar governorates.
