The songs that the 15-year-old, who went by the professional name A$sca$h, had created before succumbing to his wounds in August are now featured in a variety of playlists on the popular music streaming platform.
When the August 4 Explosion tore through Beirut, Elias, along with his older sister Nour, and his mother Mireille, sustained serious injuries that got him hospitalized.
The teenager spent 2 weeks in intensive care before passing away, leaving behind an artistic sprout that was crushed before it could grow and blossom.
9 months later, today, Elias El-Khoury has officially broken into the music industry like he always wanted to, and his tracks have been played nearly 7,000 times on Anghami, as of the time of writing. You can listen to them here.
The account is currently being managed by a close friend of El-Khoury’s, who had worked with him on this project before his passing.
