In a comprehensive ranking of the “Best Salads in the World” by TasteAtlas, Lebanon’s cherished culinary delight, Fattoush and Tabbouleh, have stood out in the list.
Fattoush has secured the 8th position with its simple yet delightful mix of toasted pita bread, lettuce, cucumbers, radish, and tomatoes, complemented by refreshing herbs like mint and parsley.
This delicious salad is finished with a dressing of olive oil, lemon, juice, and pomegranate syrup, Fattoush is elevated with a touch of sumac.
Tabbouleh, another Lebanese favorite consisting of finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, and bulgur wheat, has earned the 23rd spot on TasteAtlas’s list.
Earlier in March, Lebanese cuisine also earned recognition on a global scale, ranking 25th among the top 100 cuisines worldwide according to the TasteAtlas website.
Previously, the Lebanese shawarma sandwich received international acclaim, securing the third position in TasteAtlas’s ranking, trailing only behind Vietnamese “Banh Mi” and the Turkish “Tombik Doner”.
