Update: The government has postponed the festival until further notice.
The Fajr Al Jurud military operation against ISIS ended with the victory of the Lebanese Army. The Minister of National Defense Yaacoub Sarraf and the Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian announced that a festival will celebrate this accomplishment and will honor the fallen soldiers. It will be held at the Martyrs’ Square on Thursday at 7 PM. Sarraf mentioned that everyone is invited to this celebration because this is a national victory! Also, Guidanian said that this festival will be amazing. In fact, measures will be taken to provide a safe and a pleasant environment for the attendees. The event will begin with speeches. Then,
will be played! This festival aims at gathering all the Lebanese people in one place to celebrate the victory of the nation and to revive patriotism in Lebanon!
