Financial Assistance Will Be Disbursed At The End Of July For These Sectors In Lebanon

Ashark Al-Awsat

Lebanese Ministerial sources predicted that the financial assistance to public sector employees and the military for the months of May and June will be disbursed at the end of July.

It is noteworthy that the ministerial meeting held in the Grand Serail by Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Monday discussed the repercussions of the open strike of employees and workers in the public sector.

After the meeting, Minister of Labor in the caretaker government, Mustafa Bayram, said, “We affirmed the entitlement and legitimacy of the rights of public sector employees, and it was agreed that all workers in public facilities would be equal without any discrimination.”

As a result, it was agreed to pass draft laws that would secure a large basket of imports for the public treasury.

Strikes by employees are being announced one after the other these days, including the Baalbek Municipality employees, Beirut’s Uber drivers, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ogero’s employees, and the Judicial Assistants in Lebanon, and the employees of the Central Bank, among others.
