Dark black smoke billows from a building in the southern suburb of Ouzai in Beirut Thursday noon, where a massive fire has erupted.
People in the streets and buildings nearby are in a state of shock while witnessing the large flames devour the building.
At the time of writing, it is not clear yet what caused the fire. It’s worth noting that the fire broke out amid rainfall.
Update: At around 1:00 PM the Civil Defense reported that the fire erupted in a gallery on the third floor of a commercial building.
With the help of local fire brigades, the Civil Defense successfully put out the fire. The damage was limited to material and no one was harmed.
