On Friday, July 7th, a massive fire broke out in a carpet factory in the region of Zefta, in the Nabatieh District, South Lebanon.
Yesterday, 48 hours after the fire broke out, firefighters put it under control and moved towards cooling the areas that are at risk of catching fire again.
Moreover, civil defense and other volunteers were working hard to remove the chemical substances left in the factory, which were being used in manufacturing carpets.
The fire reportedly caused millions of dollars in damages and left 250 employees jobless.
The Lebanese Army announced that it has sent specialized units to commence investigations into the matter.
